Frontier adds 3 Orlando–Colombia routes from December 10

What happened

Frontier will begin flying to South America for the first time on December 10, with a daily nonstop from Orlando to Medellin. Bogota starts December 14 at 6 weekly flights and will not be daily until March 6, 2027. Cartagena follows on December 19 as a weekly flight.

Spirit previously operated all 3 of these Orlando nonstops and had been the main U.S. ultra-low-cost carrier in Colombia before it collapsed. Frontier says it will be selective about which abandoned Spirit markets it picks up over the next year or two. The Colombia announcement came days after the airline confirmed it will leave New York JFK.

Watch for these Orlando to Colombia flights to open for sale, and for Frontier to add more former Spirit routes in Latin America.
