What happened
- Transfers are processed through the Avios website interface.
- Accounts must be at least 30 days old.
- Name, date of birth, and email address must match across linked accounts.
- Direct transfers to Qatar Airways Privilege Club are not supported, but members can link BA and QR accounts to move Avios between them.
- This update follows the initial launch of BA linking in April 2024 and the earlier announcement in August 2023 that Finnair would adopt Avios as its loyalty currency
Finnair Plus has expanded its Avios transfer capability beyond British Airways to include all IAG-owned airlines: Iberia, Vueling, and Aer Lingus. Members can now link their Finnair Plus account with these programs via the Avios website to move Avios between accounts. Key details:
