Emirates A350s get a 39-inch electrically powered premium economy seat

What happened

Emirates will keep its previous-generation premium economy on A380s and 777s even as a new electrically powered seat with full-height privacy screens arrives on newly delivered Airbus A350s.

The A350 cabin will have 28 seats in four rows in a 2-3-2 layout, with 39 inches of pitch and 20 inches of width. Passengers set the position from a control unit. Cradle recline stays clear of the row behind. A full-height divider can be raised and locked from those controls. The design includes Emirates' U-Dream headrest. Wireless charging comes to this cabin for the first time. Screens remain 13.3-inch 4K HDR. New A350s add enhanced aircraft camera views.

The airline introduced premium economy in 2022 and is still fitting the older seat on A380s and 777s. There are no official plans to install the new product on any other aircraft. Do not count on the new seat outside newly delivered A350s.
