What happened
IHG is paying registered Emirates Skywards members 4 miles per dollar at most hotels on paid stays booked by 30 November 2026 and completed by 31 January 2027, double the standard 2 miles. Candlewood Suites and Staybridge Suites pay 2 miles per dollar rather than 1. Registration opened 29 October 2026. There is no stated earning cap.
Members must belong to both programs and register. Skywards must be set as the IHG earning preference before check-in. Stays must be booked directly on IHG.com at a points-eligible paid rate. Award nights do not qualify, and neither do bookings made through online travel agencies. A short list of hotels has opted out. Consecutive nights at the same hotel count as one stay, and only one room earns the bonus. Miles can take up to 6 weeks to post. Choosing Skywards miles means forgoing IHG One Rewards points.
Register by 30 November 2026 and book paid direct stays for nights through 31 January 2027 only if Emirates miles are worth more than IHG points.
