What happened
Emirates Skywards is paying a 30% bonus on conversions of Skywards Miles to Marriott Bonvoy from August 28, 2026 through September 30, 2026. The usual rate is 3 miles for 2 Bonvoy points. Converting the 3,000-mile minimum yields 2,000 Bonvoy points at the base rate and 2,600 once the 600-point bonus posts.
Bonus points credit automatically to the linked Bonvoy account. Processing is expected within 48 hours. Membership names on both programs must match. Conversions cannot be canceled or reversed. Skysurfers accounts are excluded, as are My Family and Business Rewards. The reverse conversion from Bonvoy to Skywards, which takes 60,000 Bonvoy points for 25,000 miles, carries no bonus.
Even with the extra 30%, this remains a weak use of Skywards miles unless those miles are about to expire. Convert only if the miles would otherwise expire, and complete any conversion by September 30, 2026.
