What happened
Emirates has announced the rollout of free Starlink Wi-Fi across its entire fleet, with installation now underway on Boeing 777s and Airbus A380s. The airline aims to have Starlink available on all aircraft by mid-2027, fitting 14 planes per month. Currently, 25 Boeing 777s have the service installed, and the first A380 has also been fitted. The service is free for all passengers, requires no Skywards membership, and offers high-speed, low-latency broadband gate-to-gate, supporting live streaming, productivity, and voice calls. This marks a significant upgrade from Emirates' legacy OnAir connectivity
