What happened
Fiji Airways will end its nonstop service between Nadi (NAN) and Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) as of September 7, 2026. The route, launched in December 2024, was the carrier's longest sector and longest in the U.S. The airline attributes the suspension to high fuel costs and evolving demand patterns, aiming to focus on markets with stronger, more sustainable demand. While technically a suspension, the airline does not expect a return. Impacted passengers will be rerouted to existing 11x weekly flights to Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO). Concurrently, Fiji Airways plans to upgrade select Vancouver flights to A350s and increase frequencies to Hong Kong
