Delta overhauls Delta One dining on select LAX long-hauls Nov. 2

What happened

Delta will start serving $200 bottles of Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon in Delta One on select Los Angeles long-hauls from Nov. 2, including Auckland and Brisbane. Blanton's bourbon joins the bar, and Champagne Taittinger will be poured over sorbet. The cabin refresh adds Missoni amenity kits with Bombas socks, plus new linens and glassware. Delta will expand the cocktail and mocktail lists, with expensive sake planned later on Tokyo Haneda flights.

The refresh applies only to some long-haul flights from Los Angeles, not the full Delta One network. Delta says the new dining is meant to match what the Delta One Lounge already serves.

Airbus A350-1000s due next year are expected to carry next-generation Delta One suites with longer beds and sliding doors, aimed at Asia and Middle East flying as Delta expands across the Pacific. There is still no higher-tier suite to match United's Polaris Studios.

Los Angeles to Auckland or Brisbane in Delta One from Nov. 2 is where the new service appears; the A350-1000 suites come next year.
