Delta Amex Cards Adding Free Second Checked Bag Benefit Starting June 4, 2026

Delta is adding a new baggage benefit for eligible Delta SkyMiles American Express cardholders. Starting June 4, 2026, eligible Basic Card Members will receive a free second checked bag on Delta and Delta Connection-operated flights within the U.S., including routes to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The benefit does not apply to codeshare flights. This perk helps offset Delta's recent checked bag fee increases for families and travelers checking multiple bags
