What happened
Citi halved the transfer ratio of ThankYou points to the I Prefer hotel program, effective April 19, 2026. In preparation for this devaluation, the author transferred 261,000 points to I Prefer on April 16. Following the ratio change, the author's entire Citi portfolio, including consumer and business cards, was closed. The author notes this occurred while transitioning a Barclays Aviator Silver card to a Citi AAdvantage Globe card
