What happened
Chase is offering a limited-time 100,000-point welcome bonus for the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card, up from the standard 75,000 points. New cardholders must spend $5,000 on purchases within the first three months of account opening to qualify. This is the third time in the card's history that the 100k bonus has been offered (previously in 2021 and 2025). Eligibility requires meeting Chase's 5/24 rule and not having previously received a welcome bonus on the Sapphire Preferred. The offer allows redemption via Chase Travel or transfer to partners including United, Air Canada, Air France-KLM, and World of Hyatt
