Affects 2 airline programs (Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines).
What happened
Atmos Rewards Titanium members are now eligible for day-of-departure upgrades into business class on all flights globally, effective late April 2026. This perk applies to the member and one companion on the same reservation and does not require points or upgrade certificates. It makes Atmos the only US loyalty program offering such a global day-of-departure upgrade benefit. Additionally, upgrade certificates earned through milestone perks can now be used on global routes. Alaska's long-haul routes from Seattle require two certificates, while Hawaiian's long-haul routes require two certificates (except for Pago Pago, Papeete, and Rarotonga which require one). The upgrade process involves submitting a request form between 30 days and 72 hours of departure. Upgrades may be processed between 72 hours and four hours before departure; if not cleared by then, the upgrade cannot be waitlisted. Titanium members are eligible for upgrades within four hours of departure if certificates have not cleared
