What happened
Select US-issued American Express cardholders can earn a $100 statement credit after $300 or more in qualifying Small Luxury Hotels of the World spend from September 1 through November 15. The targeted Amex Offer must be added to the same card charged at the hotel, and enrollment is limited. Non-US cards are ineligible. The offer cannot be transferred. One credit is allowed per enrolled account.
Terms require a slh.com reservation and in-person payment at checkout. Prepaid and phone reservations are excluded. Only room rate and room charges at checkout qualify. One Mile at a Time says taxes and fees on the room should count. Gift cards and amenities do not. A Hilton-channel booking of an SLH property is unlikely to pass the direct-booking test. After any currency conversion, the bill must still reach $300 USD.
The credit usually appears on the statement within 30 days of the hotel payment. Posting can lag until 90 days after the offer expires. Add the offer if it shows, then book on slh.com and settle the bill in person with that card.
