What happened
Between June 15 and July 15, 2026, Amex Membership Rewards points transfer to Avianca Lifemiles at a 15% bonus rate. Transfers occur in increments of 1,000 points, yielding 1,150 Lifemiles for every 1,000 Amex points. The bonus is offered directly by Lifemiles, not Amex. Miles typically post within 24 hours. This promotion allows Amex holders to acquire Lifemiles for Star Alliance redemptions, potentially at a lower cost per mile
