Amex adds 351 hotels to Fine Hotels + Resorts and Hotel Collection

What happened

American Express has added 351 properties to Fine Hotels + Resorts and The Hotel Collection, taking the combined portfolio to more than 3,400 hotels across 116 countries. Fine Hotels + Resorts launched in 1991 with 120 properties. Most of the new hotels are already live on AmexTravel.com, with a few due in the coming days.

The Hotel Collection is the broader premium program. Fine Hotels + Resorts is the luxury tier and is limited to Corporate Platinum and Centurion cards. Hotel Collection benefits require two consecutive nights. Fine Hotels + Resorts has no two-night minimum. Both include a $100 on-property credit that varies by property, plus noon check-in. Late checkout and room upgrades are subject to availability.

Platinum and Business Platinum cards offer up to $600 a year in hotel statement credits on eligible prepaid Fine Hotels + Resorts or Hotel Collection bookings. The benefit is up to $300 from January through June and up to $300 from July through December. Those credits require enrollment and are separate from the $100 on-property credit.
