What happened
British Airways flight BA276 from Hyderabad, India, to London-Heathrow experienced a significant operational event when all three cockpit crew members suffered severe food poisoning symptoms. The pilots had shared breakfast at a hotel lounge in Hyderabad and consumed bottled water from an external provider. During the flight, one pilot became incapacitated at 30,000 feet, requiring oxygen. Upon arrival at Heathrow, he underwent 12 hours of emergency surgery. The other two pilots continued to operate the flight despite worsening symptoms. British Airways is currently tracing the source of the illness, reviewing crew accommodation options in Hyderabad, and has collected samples for medical analysis. The airline stated that crew welfare is a priority and that there was no danger to the flight itself
