What happened
Accor has changed where paid ALL Accor+ Explorer members can use stays and benefits after expanding the membership into the Middle East. The update adds hotel and brand exclusions. Stay Plus free nights at some properties now require a minimum of 3 consecutive nights.
The rules apply to paid Explorer members. Fairmont's Makkah Clock Royal Tower is ineligible. LoyaltyLobby notes that every Makkah hotel used to be excluded, while the current terms single out the Clock Tower. The same post flags Fairmont Tokyo and Bangkok as properties that might later restrict Stay Plus because of heavy certificate use.
