What happened
Alaska Airlines will restore stronger Atmos Rewards earnings on partner flights from 1 January 2027 for members who select price-paid earning on tickets not issued on Alaska stock 027.
The program has turned on earning-preference selection. Current members default to miles flown. Anyone who joins from 1 January 2027 defaults to fare paid. Restored partner rates require that price-paid choice and a ticket off stock 027. Partner flights sold by Alaska currently list total and status points as high as 350%, against 25% when the same flights are sold on a partner site. American Airlines marketed flights issued on ticket stock 001 already earn on the price paid. STARLUX and Philippine Airlines tickets bought on partner sites currently earn no Atmos status points. Elite bonuses on the 2027 partner rates are not confirmed.
Switch to price paid before flying partners in premium cabins, and keep those tickets off Alaska stock 027.
