Alaska will fly Paine Field to San Jose twice daily from April 2027

What happened

Alaska will resume Paine Field to San Jose from April 14, 2027, with two daily 76-seat Embraer E175s. It last operated the route in 2019 and 2020 and is still the only airline at the Everett airport.

Paine Field seats are slated to rise by half through next spring on extra flights and larger jets. A second daily flight will be added next spring on the Los Angeles and Portland routes. The Los Angeles route will switch from E175s to all Boeing 737s, lifting seats per flight by at least 63%. The daily San Diego flight is scheduled to move from an E175 to a 737 on November 1. Up to three daily San Francisco flights are also expected to upgauge, but Alaska has not said when.

The extra flying deepens Alaska's Puget Sound presence versus Delta, which does not serve Paine Field, and gives Atmos Rewards members more West Coast options from Seattle's second airport. Watch for Paine Field to San Jose inventory for travel from April 14, 2027, and extra spring capacity on the other West Coast routes.
