What happened
Frequent Miler observed 30 miles per dollar at Viator through Capital One Offers on September 21, the one-day Top Deal of the Day in both Offers and Shopping.
A Spark card showed 30% cash back through Offers, which can be converted to miles at 1 cent per mile. Capital One Shopping showed 35% back, paid only as gift cards. Shopping is open to anyone. Offers requires a Capital One credit card login. Frequent Miler did not see the Offers rates on every card. Shopping has mailed higher targeted rates in the past.
Hotels and flights do not earn. Agent-tracked tours are excluded. An outside promo code can cancel the bonus. Reserve Now-Pay Later bookings post the rebate only after 24 hours of payment.
Book only a Viator activity already needed today, and check Offers against any targeted Shopping email before paying.
