What happened

World of Hyatt replaced its PDF and paper form with a Points.com gifting tool on October 15, 2026. Member-to-member transfers are free at a 1:1 ratio.

A gift starts at 1,000 points and continues in 500-point increments, up to 525,000 points per transaction. Each member may send 525,000 points and receive 525,000 points per calendar year. Sending is limited to once per calendar month and 6 times per year, with the same limits on receiving. Sender and recipient accounts must be at least 60 days old.

Points generally post within 24 hours. Reviews can take up to 10 business days. Hyatt may decline or reverse a gift it suspects is fraudulent. Once submitted, the sender cannot get the points back.

Send the points a partner or family stay needs in one gift and wait for them to post before booking.
