UAE Bans Entry for Travelers from DRC, Uganda & South Sudan Within 21 Days

Effective June 6, 2026, the UAE will deny entry to travelers who have been in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, or South Sudan within the past 21 days due to Ebola measures

What happened

The United Arab Emirates has implemented an entry restriction effective June 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM Dubai time (until further notice). Travelers who have been in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, or South Sudan within the previous 21 days will not be allowed entry. This applies to all travelers, including those arriving via indirect routings. Transit passengers must comply with the entry measures of their final destination. The restriction is linked to the ongoing Ebola outbreak in these regions. Emirates continues to accept passengers from these countries, provided they meet the entry requirements of their destination
