What happened
Thompson Rome, originally scheduled to open in June 2026, has been delayed until at least October 1, 2026. The delay leaves guests with existing reservations unsure of their status, with some reporting that customer care is unaware of the change. The opening of the nearby Hyatt Regency Rome is also delayed until at least September, limiting options to the Tribune. Award pricing for the Thompson is listed at 55,000 Hyatt points per night for a standard room. Guests are advised to contact Hyatt for reaccommodation
