What happened
Qatar Airways Privilege Club no longer requires a credited flight or a co-branded card before members can spend Avios on other people through My List. LoyaltyLobby reports that FAQs and a reader chat with the program leave a 30-day account-age rule as the only remaining hurdle.
My List is how Privilege Club members book Avios travel for someone else. The June launch also demanded a flight on the account or a co-branded card, which shut out anyone who only converted points into Avios. That activity bar is gone. Privilege Club describes the 30-day wait as a fraud check. Most members remain limited in how many other people they can cover. Gold and Platinum members get unlimited use only if they contact customer service.
Members who convert or transfer Avios into Privilege Club can book awards for friends and family without flying Qatar or holding the co-branded card. Once a Privilege Club account is 30 days old, My List can put Avios awards on other members.
