What happened
Qatar Airways extended the deadline for its fee-free ticket change policy to May 15, 2026. This applies to tickets issued on or before that date for travel between February 28 and September 15, 2026. Eligible passengers can make complimentary date changes to a new travel date up to October 31, 2026, when rebooking on Qatar Airways-operated flights, subject to availability and fare seasonality. Unused ticket value refunds are also available per standard fare rules. The policy was previously amended twice in 24-48 hours, with an interim deadline of April 30. The airline notes this flexibility is to address potential disruptions from the ongoing Iran War pause. This policy does not override passenger rights legislations like EU/EEA EC 261/2004 or UK UK261
