Hyatt plans Portugal's first Park Hyatt in Comporta for 2029

What happened

Hyatt and Portuguese developer Coporgest signed to develop and operate Park Hyatt Comporta plus Park Hyatt Comporta Residences on the Alentejo coast, with an opening expected in 2029. The resort would be the first Park Hyatt in Portugal and would sit next to Troia Golf Course near Humberto Delgado Airport.

The proposed hotel is set at 58 guest rooms and suites along with 22 serviced residences with full resort access. A separate Coporgest collection of 31 villas and 49 apartments in the same complex would be sold for private ownership with Park Hyatt amenity access. Plans include a wellness space with a gym and padel court.

Much of the wider beach complex will be privately owned rather than hotel rooms. An opening several years out may slip or the project could be rebranded before it opens, and few booking details have been released. Treat 2029 as a placeholder and wait for bookable dates before planning a stay.
