What happened
Mereshi Safari Camp Serengeti joins Marriott Bonvoy's Autograph Collection on January 4, 2027, with 18 tented suites a short drive from Fort Ikoma airstrip in Tanzania's Serengeti National Park. Each suite has 775 square feet of indoor and outdoor space plus east-facing decks and outdoor showers. Dunia Designs, which also did sister camp Mapito, designed the lodge around restaurant Mila and a private boma.
Cash rates start at $1,967 based on double occupancy and include two shared game drives and guided walks. Meals and select drinks are covered, as are airstrip transfers. Award redemption rates are not yet published. The Points Guy expects them to track Mapito, where nights start around 190,000 points. Marriott's site lists a November 2027 opening even though January 4 dates are already on sale.
From January 4 through March 27, eligible bookings with code S2449 earn 25,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points. Wait for published award rates before redeeming.
