What happened
Marriott is cutting prepaid Standard Rates by 20% for Bonvoy members on stays from September 18 through October 4, 2026. Non-members get 15% off. Bookings must be made by Sunday on a Marriott direct channel and paid in full at reservation. Member bookings still earn Bonvoy points.
The rate needs at least 5 days of advance purchase and cannot be cancelled or changed. Rooms are scarce and sold first come, first served. Most hotels restrict the rate to Thursday through Sunday. A Thursday check-in requires a Friday night. Some Middle East hotels in the sale use Wednesday through Saturday. Resorts can sell any night when inventory remains. Only standard rooms qualify, priced in local currency. The discount cannot be stacked with other offers.
The sale is not valid in Greater China and does not apply to groups of 10 or more rooms. Luxury flags and vacation-ownership properties do not participate, and Asia-Pacific luxury inventory is cut further.
Book by Sunday only if a participating hotel fits those dates and the prepaid price beats a refundable Standard Rate on a stay that will not need to change.
