What happened
Marriott Bonvoy is selling points with a personalized bonus of at least 40% through September 9, 2026, and has lifted the usual 100,000-point yearly buy cap to 200,000 for all members during the sale. Logged-in members see their own rate. Some offers are 50%, pricing points at 0.83 cents each.
The listed rate is $12.50 per 1,000 points, with a 1,000-point minimum and posting within 72 hours. The receiving account must have been open at least 90 days, or 30 days with other activity. Terms still quote a 150,000-point Buy Points cap, with another 100,000 available through the award-booking path.
Bought points never count toward elite status and cannot be refunded. CITIC cobrand cards issued in Greater China do not earn on the purchase, and GST/HST applies for Canadian residents. Bought points can undercut cash on some hotel awards when fifth-night-free applies.
