What happened
LOT Polish Airlines let its Kraków Airport lounge contract lapse on July 31. On August 1 it cut complimentary access for premium-cabin and elite passengers, calling the proposed fees among the highest in its European network.
The cut applies only to LOT-operated flights from KRK. Business-class passengers lose access, as do Miles & More elites from Gold through HON Circle, including those connecting via Warsaw who used to get the lounge on domestic legs despite no domestic business cabin. The same lounge still admits Miles & More elites on other Star Alliance carriers. Paid memberships such as Priority Pass still work on any airline.
Kraków is a LOT mini-hub with several daily Warsaw flights plus European and long-haul routes. LOT hopes to restore access under a new deal but has given no date.
Count on Priority Pass for LOT departures from KRK until a lounge agreement returns.
