Korean Air bans in-flight voice calls and live streaming

What happened

Korean Air released in-flight WiFi etiquette guidelines on September 22 that make headphones mandatory for videos and games. Passengers may not place voice or video calls while airborne.

The airline prohibits filming or recording inside the aircraft unless those involved consent. Live streams from the cabin are not allowed. Passengers are asked to think about fellow travelers when choosing what to watch.

Frequent flyers on Korean Air will have to keep WiFi use quieter. Staying in touch means messaging rather than calling.

On Korean Air, wear headphones for entertainment and skip cabin calls and unconsented filming.
