Iberia opened the Emerald Lounge Sorolla at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport Terminal 4 on the Schengen side, for short- and medium-haul flights departing from gates H, J, K, and M. The lounge covers 800 square meters with capacity for 128 guests and sits immediately past security in T4. Access is reserved for Iberia Plus Platino, Platino Prime, Infinita, Infinita Prime, and Singular members. Offerings include Spanish gastronomy that changes through the day (tapas, Iberian cured meats, pastries, and Mediterranean dishes), a 360-degree bar with bartender and barista service, and furniture designed by Patricia Urquiola. The lounge is named after painter Joaquín Sorolla. Iberia framed the opening as part of its Flight Plan 2030 customer-experience plan
