Hyatt Auditing Hyatt Leverage Accounts, Now Requiring Tax IDs and Employee Counts

Hyatt is sending emails to Hyatt Leverage account holders requesting tax IDs, website links, and employee counts to verify business eligibility for the SME discount program

What happened

Hyatt has begun auditing its Hyatt Leverage program, which offers small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) 5% to 15% off rates. The hotel chain is now requiring account holders to provide a company website link, a tax ID number (or regional equivalent), and answers to questions regarding employee count, affiliation verification, primary business travel reasons, and top five travel destinations. This is a shift from previous years where such detailed verification was not required. Maintaining eligibility is crucial for members to continue receiving the program's primary benefit: 2 elite qualifying nights for every $5,000 spent
