Following Spirit Airlines' official cessation of operations, American Express cardholders who designated Spirit as their preferred airline for the annual statement credit (up to $200 for Platinum, $100 for Corporate Gold) or the 35% airline bonus (Business Platinum) must update their selection. Eligible cards: Cardholders must contact Amex via chat in the app or by calling the number on the back of their card to switch their selection. The remaining eligible carriers are Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines. Failure to update may result in loss of benefit utility for the remainder of the year
