Hilton Honors has updated its upgrade ecosystem with two key changes for elite members: 1. Upgrade at Digital Check-In: Rolled out globally, this feature allows Gold, Diamond, and Diamond Reserve members to view and select complimentary upgrade options directly within the Hilton Honors app during digital check-in. This applies when a room or suite has not been assigned in advance, building on the existing Global Automated Upgrades system. Eligible members can now see both complimentary and paid options without visiting the front desk. 2. Transferable Upgrade Rewards: Confirmable Upgrade Rewards, previously earned via Diamond Reserve status (80 nights/stays or $18K spend) or the 120-night milestone, are now confirmed as transferable between Hilton Honors members.
