What happened
Frontier is dropping Diamond elite to 75,000 status points from 100,000 while raising Silver to 15,000 from 10,000 and Gold to 25,000 from 20,000. Platinum remains at 50,000 points.
Every elite tier lost benefits. Mileage earning is down 45 to 90% without a Frontier credit card and 20 to 40% with one. Change and cancellation fee waivers that came with status are gone. Basic fares have largely lost seat selection perks, and upgrades now require a paid bundle.
Frontier now charges for perks that used to come with status. Skip chasing Frontier elite without the co-branded card.
