What happened
Hilton Honors launched Pay with Points on October 21, 2026, letting elite members redeem points for eligible incidental charges at digital checkout in the Hilton Honors app. The feature is closed to non-elite members and starts at 150 U.S. properties with no public hotel list.
Hilton emails eligible members before arrival when their hotel is participating. Eligible incidentals can be covered this way only in the app. Hilton has not disclosed a points-to-dollar conversion rate, so the value of each redemption is unknown. Hyatt and Marriott already let members apply points to incidentals, typically at physical checkout and at fixed, often weak rates. Hilton presents the feature as extra flexibility rather than a replacement for free-night awards.
Hilton expects 800 participating hotels by the end of 2026 and more than 6,000 in the United States and Canada in 2027. The feature is still a test and will not appear at every stay.
Elite members should watch prearrival emails and check the implied cents-per-point before paying incidentals with points.
