Affects 3 airline programs (Embraer, Finnair, Norra).
What happened
Finnair announced an order for up to 46 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, including 18 firm orders, 16 options, and 12 purchase rights. The first plane is expected to join the fleet in the third quarter of 2027, with three deliveries in 2027, six in 2028, and six in 2029. The E195-E2s will operate for Norra, Finnair's regional partner, replacing the current fleet of 12 Embraer E190s and potentially some ATR 72-500s. The new jets feature a 2-2 layout with 134 seats, USB charging, and high-speed internet, offering over 30% better fuel efficiency per passenger than the E190s. This order supports Finnair's strategy to strengthen its regional network and feed long-haul traffic. It follows a similar recent order by Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) for the same aircraft type
