Emirates is ending its special flight flexibility waiver for travel affected by the Iran conflict on May 31, 2026. Passengers with tickets booked between Feb 28 and May 31 must rebook or request a refund by this deadline

What happened

Emirates has announced that its special flight flexibility waiver, offered in response to the US and Israel's attack on Iran, will end on May 31, 2026. The text has been removed from its website. The waiver applied to customers booked to travel between February 28 and May 31. Options included rebooking on an alternate flight to the same or different destination in the same region on or before June 15, or requesting a refund. Additionally, customers who booked flights from April 2 onward were offered one complimentary date change across all cabins, subject to ticket validity and fare differences. This specific benefit may also be ending or transitioning to standard policy as the waiver period closes. Travelers are advised to use Manage Your Booking on emirates.com or the app to review changes, accept new flights, or choose alternatives before the May 31 deadline
