Targeted: United ExtraMile spend bonuses through Dec 31, 2026

United is paying personalized MileagePlus bonuses to eligible co-branded cardholders who register and hit a spend target from October 1 through December 31, 2026. AwardWallet Blog reports a United Gateway Card offer of 3,000 bonus miles after $3,000 in eligible purchases, an extra 1 mile per dollar at exactly $3,000. Other reports include 1,000 miles after $500 across at least 10 transactions and 1,000 miles after $1,000 in spend.

The bonuses are one-time thresholds. Missing the target earns nothing extra, and spending past it does not add more promotional miles. Only the primary cardholder on the specific United card shown in ExtraMile can register. An offer on one card does not apply to other United cards. Spend that posts in the window still counts even if the cardholder registered later. A return that posts during the offer window reduces qualifying spend even if the purchase itself was earlier.

The miles land in MileagePlus in 6-8 weeks, not on the card statement. Check ExtraMile and register if targeted, then meet the spend with purchases already planned; the one-time bonus is not a reason to move spend off a higher-earning card.
