What happened
Capital One is currently migrating Discover credit card accounts onto its platform. During this process, it has been observed that Discover rewards cannot be converted into transferable Capital One miles. For migrated Discover it cardholders, their cards and existing rewards balances appear alongside their Capital One accounts, but the 'Combine Rewards' option (which normally allows Capital One cashback to be moved to a miles-earning card like Venture or Venture X) does not show for Discover cashback. For the Discover it Miles card, miles are displayed together with Capital One miles as a combined total balance. However, there is currently no mechanism to move or use those specific Discover miles as Capital One miles with airline and hotel transfer partners. The migration is still ongoing, so not all cardholders may see their Discover cards under their Capital One login yet
