Delta and United will fly twice daily to Flagstaff in summer 2027

What happened

On June 7, 2027, Delta will start two daily flights from Salt Lake City to Flagstaff Pulliam, and United will add two daily Denver flights on August 10, 2027. The airport is under a two-hour drive from Sedona and the Grand Canyon South Rim.

Delta will operate a Bombardier CRJ-550 with 50 seats, 10 of them in first class. Phoenix and Dallas-Fort Worth remain American's existing Flagstaff gateways. United last served Denver to Flagstaff from 2019 through 2022. The new Salt Lake City route fits Delta's recent western feeder buildup from that hub.

An $800,000 federal grant was intended to draw new flights to Denver or Salt Lake City. Delta's Flagstaff route has a revenue guarantee and $1.3 million in incentives. The flights give SkyMiles members a new way to connect over Salt Lake City and bring new competition to an airport American has dominated.

Watch for the Salt Lake City and Denver flights to open for booking if northern Arizona is on the summer 2027 calendar.
