Citi AAdvantage Executive offers 125,000 miles for $15,000 spend

What happened

Citi's AAdvantage Executive World Legend Mastercard now pays 125,000 AAdvantage miles when a new account charges $15,000 in the 5 months after opening. The annual fee is $695 as of August 24, 2026, which is $100 higher than the prior fee.

A statement credit of up to $500 a year is limited to American Airlines Vacations, not regular tickets. Cardholders also get $100 back each year on eligible inflight and Admirals Club purchases. The Lyft cap moved from $120 to $180 a year, and a $15 credit arrives after 3 eligible rides in a calendar month. AAdvantage Hotels and Cars bookings earn 12X miles instead of 10X. Each of 4 Loyalty Point milestones now adds 10,000 Loyalty Points, lifting the yearly maximum from 20,000 to 40,000.

Several new benefits are credits that lapse if they are not used. The bonus is for people who open the card and can put $15,000 on it in 5 months.

Apply only if $15,000 in 5 months is realistic and Admirals Club plus the restricted credits will justify the $695 fee.
