What happened
Chase Travel has introduced a Price Match Guarantee, currently in beta for select Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business, and J.P. Morgan Reserve cardmembers. The feature allows users who book a prepaid hotel stay through Chase Travel to submit a claim within 24 hours if they find a lower rate elsewhere. To qualify, the cancellation and refund rules must match, and the price difference must be greater than $5. If approved, the cardholder receives a refund for the price difference, allowing them to lock in the lower rate while still utilizing their annual hotel statement credits and associated perks (such as The Edit benefits like daily breakfast and property credits). This policy change aims to ensure cardholders get the best available pricing when using portal bookings for credit redemption
