What happened
Capital One is offering a 30% bonus on points transfers to Japan Airlines Mileage Bank for transfers made between April 1 and April 30, 2026. The standard transfer ratio is 4:3 (1,000 Capital One miles = 750 JAL miles). With the 30% bonus, the effective ratio becomes approximately 1,000:975, nearly 1:1. This is the third transfer bonus since JAL was added as a partner in September 2025. Capital One is currently the only major bank transferable points currency with a direct partnership with JAL Mileage Bank, though Bilt Rewards also partners with JAL. The bonus is relevant for frequent flyers planning to redeem JAL miles for travel on Japan Airlines or its oneworld/non-oneworld partners
