What happened
Bilt Rewards is paying cardholders a status-based 25% to 100% bonus on gift-card redemptions through 3 a.m. Eastern on November 2. Blue status adds 25%. Platinum adds 100%, with Silver at 50% and Gold at 75%. Bilt's standard gift-card rate is 0.7 cents a point. Frequent Miler values the Platinum 100% bonus at 1.4 cents, under the 1.55 cents it assigns Bilt points as a reasonable redemption.
Cardholders also receive one Bilt Travel hotel discount of 10-15%, with amounts and spend hurdles that vary by elite level. A Gold Palladium example runs from $50 off $500+ to $150 off $1,000+. Only one discount can be used per account. Portal prices should be checked against other channels.
On November 1 the Bilt Mastercard pays double points on non-rent spend, capped at 1,000 bonus points. Dining pays 6x instead of 3x. Travel pays 4x instead of 2x. Other non-rent spend pays 2x instead of 1x.
Keep Bilt points off gift cards and only book a Bilt Travel hotel after checking other rates, using November 1 for double points up to the 1,000-point cap.
