What happened
Miles to Memories reports that Bilt is showing product-change options in Card settings for select Blue and Obsidian holders, with one reported Palladium upgrade paying 50,000 points plus $100 in Bilt Cash after $4,000 spend within 90 days.
Blue cardholders may be offered Obsidian or Palladium, and Obsidian holders may be offered Palladium. The switch remains on the same account and does not trigger a hard inquiry. History and Bilt Points carry over, and the account number usually does not change. Bilt issues a new expiration date and CVV. The new annual fee posts after the change, with the prior fee refunded in full or prorated depending on timing. Cardholders may upgrade only once in a 12-month period.
Bilt says any upgrade bonus is whatever the app or website displays at the time of the change. An Obsidian move to Palladium credits the hotel-benefit difference for the current semiannual period rather than waiting until the next cycle. Who sees an offer depends on the card and the account.
Check Bilt Card settings and read the on-screen bonus and fee terms before switching.
