What happened
Avianca is fitting its 787s with fully flat INSIGNIA business class suites that have privacy doors and dividers, with the first aircraft due on Europe and New York flights in 2027.
The carrier has not identified the seat maker. Published drawings resemble the Collins Aerospace Elements reverse-herringbone seat already flown by Starlux and Etihad. Each suite will have a 19-inch 4K screen. Bluetooth and better charging are part of the cabin spec. More than 850 flight attendants have already gone through dedicated business class hospitality and etiquette training.
A door-equipped 787 cabin would be a clear step past Avianca's current long-haul product, but cabin drawings are not proof that service will be consistent after installation. Watch 787 schedules to Europe and New York from 2027, when the first suites are due.
