Amex Gold and Platinum Resy Credit Eligibility Rules Change August 1, 2026

What happened

American Express is updating the terms for its Resy dining credit benefit on the Amex Platinum and Amex Gold cards. Starting August 1, 2026, U.S. restaurants and food and beverage establishments will only qualify for the credit if they are specifically indicated as eligible on the Resy website or app at the time of purchase. Previously, virtually all Resy restaurants qualified. This change requires cardholders to verify eligibility per venue, potentially reducing the number of usable partners if Amex or restaurants opt out of the program
