What happened
American Express has confirmed that Amex Platinum and Centurion cardholders will no longer have access to Lufthansa Lounges (including Senator and First Class lounges) at German airports starting October 1, 2026. The partnership, which began roughly seven years ago, provided a niche but valuable lounge option for travelers on Lufthansa Group flights. Despite a recent expansion of access to all LH-Group flights in early 2026, the two companies have decided to end the cooperation. Cardholders retain access to over 1,550 other partner lounges worldwide, including the Centurion Lounge Network, Delta Sky Club, Escape Lounges, Plaza Premium, and Priority Pass Select
